By Train

York is on the East Coast main line between London King’s Cross and Edinburgh, and is well-serviced by high-speed trains. Direct trains are also available from Leeds and Manchester. For further information, see www.nationalrail.co.uk

By Coach

National Express services to York operate from Leeman Road, which is a 10 minute walk from the Centre for Medieval Studies. For more information, see www.nationalexpress.com

By Car

There is no parking available at King’s Manor. However, York is well-served by a Park and Ride system, which runs from the ring road to the city centre. All Park and Ride stops are within a 10-minute walk of King’s Manor. For more information and times, see www.itravelyork.info.

By Bike

Public bike racks are available just outside King’s Manor. Attendees will be responsible for securing their own bikes.
